Kristy Levandoski, LMSW

Kristy specializes in working with women navigating life transitions and the uncertainty, anxiety, and identity shifts that can come with them. Maybe you’re in your twenties and feel lost after years of school, wondering, “Okay... now what?” Maybe you’re questioning your career, navigating changes in relationships, becoming a parent, or simply realizing that the life you once envisioned no longer feels like the life you want. Often these doubts can show up even when everything looks “right” from the outside. Whatever the transition, Kristy is interested in helping women understand who they are, what they want, and how they want to move forward.

Kristy understands these transitions not only through her clinical work, but through her own life. She remembers being in her twenties and trying to figure out who she was and what she wanted her life to look like. In her thirties, she experienced the major transition of starting a family and stepping into motherhood. Now, at 40, she has a different perspective on how much we can grow, change, and redefine ourselves throughout our lives.

Kristy’s approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative. Her work is informed by trauma- focused practice, mindfulness, and the mind-body connection. With her background in dance and experience with yoga and mindfulness, she incorporates body-based and mindfulness practices when helpful to support clients in feeling more grounded, present, and connected to themselves.

Kristy earned her BA in Psychology from Montclair State University, her MA in Dance Education from New York University, and her MSW from Fordham University. Her professional background includes work in public schools, nonprofits, private settings, and as a trauma therapist serving children and families in foster care.

Kristy believes there is no single timeline for becoming who you are meant to be. Sometimes the next chapter requires a completely new direction, and sometimes it means making space for a version of yourself you haven't met yet. Life rarely unfolds exactly the way we imagine it will.
